Norman C. Moseley, Director, Division o'f Program Development and Appraisal IE

SUBJECT:

INPO REPORTS For your information. we in PDA have had several recent contacts with INP0. Our objective has been to determine whether, following careful review of their work, we can fonnally " recognize" INPO inspections of.

nuclear plants with the benefits of reducing any redundancies from our own inspections as well as better application of our limited inspection i

resources.

In addition to the review work we have initiated, we need access to the INPO reports of individual licensee inspections which cognizant INPO personnel indicate can only be obtained directly frum.

the licensee.

To support our effort I request that you obtain copies of INPO reports from inspected licensees in your Region as soon as such reports can be prCY{ded.

I Would appreciate your forwarding a copy of such reports directly to me-on a continuing basis.
