Dear Ted:
The Council at its regular meeting of September 14, 1981 ap-proved the selection of the URS Company, Seattle, to provide Independent Consulting services for the Puget Sound Power and Light Skagit/Hanford project.
Initially, this will involve a Potential Site Study, Application Review and preliminary liaison and development of plans for the preparation of a joint NRC/EFSEC environmental impact statement.
The cost of this effort is $121,600.
By Council rule WAC 463-58-020(3) you are to be advised and to provi(e prior approval for expenditures when the costs exceed $25,000.
Please provide your approval in writing at the earliest opportunity so that the Council may continue its expedited processing of your request.

Jan would like to meet our staff and discuss the new NRC EIS outline, the licensing process, general philosophy of treating issues, etc.
He will brinj i
their style guide and infomation on their word processing system to see if it's compatible with ours.
- We will discuss management, coordination, format, etc. in the morning sessiol

We will continue the meeting on Wednesday, if necessary.
