This is in reference to your letter to me dated December 31, 1981.
Effective imediately you may implement the modified security measures outlined in your December 31 letter. Our Resident Inspection staff at Beaver Valley Unit 1 will monitor your activities in connection with the modified program.
In accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 of the NRC's regulations, documentation of security measures for the physical protection of Special nuclear materials and certain plant equipment vital to the safety of production or utilization facilities are deemed to be Safeguards Information.
Each person who produces, receives or acquires Safeguards Information is required to ensure that it is protected against unauthorized disclosure. Therefore, your December 31, 1981 letter will not be placed in the Public Document Room and will be distributed pursuant to 10 CFR 73.21 (c).
