MEMORANDUM FOR:

Lee Hiller, Deputy Controller Office of the Controller FROM:

Donnie H. Grimsley, Director Division of Freedom of Infonnation and Publications Services Office of Administration

SUBJECT:

REVISION OF FEE SCHEDULES:

RADI0 ISOTOPE LICENSES AND TOPICAL REPORTS The Division of Freedom of Information and Publications Services Office of Administration, has reviewed the draft SECY paper that prestnts alternative approaches for assessing licensing and inspection fees for the small materials program and the draft SECY paper that presents a final rule that would revise license and inspection fees for the small materials program. We have enclosed a marked-up copy of these papers that presents our coments.

Please note that the OFR requires that the signature of a docament appear on a page thet contains a few lines of document text. Before the document is submitted for signature and publication, the final rule should be adjusted so that at least three lines of text appear on the signature page.

We have forwarded a copy of the final rule to the Information and Records Management Branch, IRM, for their comment or concurrence concerning the paperwork management aspects of this rulemaking action.

In order to assist in the preparation of the list of documents centrally relevant to this final rule that is required by NRC's regulatory history procedures, the designator "AD23-2" should be placed in the upper right-hand corner of each document concerning the rule that is forwarded to the Nuclear Document System.

If you have any questions concerning this matter, please have a member of your staff contact Michael T. Lesar Regulatory Publications Branch, ADM (extension

.27758).
