ALLEGATION RE( ARDING POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST

SUBJECT:

A routine inspection involving a followup on allegations received by the regional office, was conducted by a Region IV security inspector at the River 13-17,1988. During interviews with-Bend Station during the period of June ass 6ers of the security guard force, the inspector was informed of a purported asabers of the Regulatory Effectiveness Review (RER) Team of

presumably had taken place sometime during the RER at River Bend.

The RER was conducted at River Bend from January on the phone on July 8. depending on the circumstances of such a party, if it did take place, there any be a real as well as an apparent conflict of interest issue that needs to be addressed. After discussions with Jim Sniesek of NRR, we jointly conclude that it may be appropriate for CIA to look into this matter.
