t Enclosed for'your information is an announcement that the staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has been informed by the New England Nuclear Corporation that the packaging of a shipment of three vials of cerium-141 may have been different than was first reported by the company to the NRC four days af ter one of the vials was determined to be missing at the University of Rochester Medical School.

It is planned to mail this information to the news media today, Ja nua ry 26, 1984.
