Dear Mr. Vassallo:

Reference (1) transmitted a copy of Draft 7" of Revision 3, NUREG-0472,

" Standard Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications for Pressurized Water Reactors", and requested that the District develop a final submis-sion of RETS for Cooper Nuclear Station using the Draft as guidance.

The submittal was requested within 60 days of receipt of the letter.

Due to the current extended outage at the Cooper Nuclear Station the District has experienced a delay in completing the development and review of the proposed submittal. Accordingly, we respectfully request an extension of 30 days in which to respond to Reference (1).
