Dear Mr. Rosolie and Ms. Bell:

This is in further response to your request on behalf of the Coalition for Safe Power and Ms. Bell dated May 17, 1979 to order the Trojan Nuclear Plant shutdown and offer an opportunity for a public hearing with resoect to fire protection and environmental qualification of electrical equipment issues. For the reasons set forth in the enclosure, your request is hereby denied.

A copy of this determination will be placed in the Commission's Public Docurent Roon at 1717 H Street, M.W., Washington, D. C.

20555 and the Local Public Document Room at the Multnonah County Library, Social Science and Science Department, 801 S.U.10th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97205.

A copy will also be filed with the Secretary of the Connission for its review in accordance with 10 CFR $2.206(c) of the Commission's regula-tions.
