LICENSE NO. UPR-53 EVENT DATE 01-19-81 REPORT DATE 02-17-81 ATTACHMENT CAUSE DESCPIPTION AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS (CONT'D) 1-SV-1593 would not operate. No wear nor signs of binding were found on internal parts. After installation of an appropriate spare parts kit, the valve operatid satisfactorily.

The solenoid valve was installed as a facility change made necessary after engineering review was conducted in accordance with I&E Bulletin 79-UlB.

Installation took place during the recent refueling outage.

No other tailures of this model are known to date. Therefore, no pre-ventive action is deemed necessdry at this time.
