During normal power operation of Unit 1 and refueling operations on Unit 2, the Shift Supervisor discovered at 1800 the equivalent ca-pacity fire hoses had not been routed to unprotected areas as required by T.S. 3.7.ll.4.a when a number of fire hose stations in the Auxiliary Building and Unit 2 Containment Building were isolated at about 0800.

Equivalent capacity fire hoses were inmediately routed to all affected hose stations.

This was completed by 2150.

Although the backuo hoses had not been routed prior to isolating the hose stations, backup fire hose stations were available near most affected locations. Addi tionally, fire watches had been stationed at vari us locations in the Auxiliary Building and in tne Unit 2 Containment Building during this event.

This event had no impact upon the public health or safety. This is a non-repetitive event.

CAUSE DESCRIPTION AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS (CONT'D)

Prior to isolating a section of the fire suppression water system, the Shift Sopervisor was told by the plant Fire Protection Inspector that the requirements of T.S. 3.7.11.4.a hao been met.

Further investiga-tion revealed that these technical specification requirements had not been fully met.

Upon discovery of this problem, equivalent capacity fire hoses were routed as required by T.S. 3.7.11.4.a.

The details of this event and the requirements of T.S. 3.7.ll.4.a have been reviewed with the plant Fire Protection Inspector and the Shift Sucervisor involved.

Additionally, all Operations personnel will be informed of the details of this event.
