SECY-80-370 - ORDER TO CONFIRM THE REQUIREMENTS OF COMMISSION MEMORANDUM AND ORDER OF MAY 23, 1980 REGARDING ENVIRONMENTAL QUALIFICATION ANDFIREPROTECTION(COMf11SSIONERACTIONITEM)
This is to advise you that the Commission (with all Commihsioners approving) has approved the issuance of the proposed Order to all operating reactor licensees, as revised by Howard Shapar's note to Thomas R. Gibbon of September 30, 1980, subject to the following modification:
On page 5, para (b) of the revised Order, add this sentence "Thereafter, such records should be updated and maintained current as equipment is replaced, further tested, or otherwise further qualified."

In the subject piper, the staff noted that there may be other provisions in the Commission's May 23, 1980 Memorandum and Order which should be put oil a firmer basis, either by orders or by ru'e.
The Commission desires that the staff draft a rule covering any issues it deems necessary, other than those covered by the subject Order, to implement the provisions of the May(23,1980Memorandum and Order.
