UCS PETITION - QUALIFICATION OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT a
I would like a Commission briefing to be scheduled concerning the responses to I&E Bulletin 79-01.
At that briefing, I would like the following questions addressed:
1)
What do the responses reveci about the qualification problem?
Discuss specific plants where significant problems have been identified, and actions taken or planned.
2)
Are any enforcement actions contemplated as a result of the responses to 79-0l?
3)
What is the status of licensee responses to 79-0l? bpecifically, what methods will be used to determine whether or not the equipment will withstand aging?
4)
What criteria will be used to judge the qualification of the equip-ment and how do those criteria compare to IEEE 323 (1974)?
5)
Which o.fice will be responsible for reviewing the responses?
