g NARR TIVE REPORT Georgia Power Company Plant E. I. Hatch Baxley, Georgia 31513 Reportable Occurrence Report No. 50-321/1980-093.

During normal operation at a steady state power of 2432 Mut,1T48-R507B, one of the Torus Water Level Recorders, was found inoperative. The redundant recorder, IT48-R607A, was operating normally.

Tech Spec 3.2-11 requires two operable channel s.

A limiting condition of operating was initiated and reactor operation continued.

This is not a. repetitive event.

There were no effects upon the pub-lic health or safety.

Upon investigation the amplifier of the recorder was found defective.

The amplifier was replaced and the recorder was returned to normal operation.

The generic review did not reveal any inherent problems.
