CPPR-116 Catawba Nuclear Station CPPR-117 Based on the NRC inspection May 1-30, 1980, certain of your activities were apparently not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements as indicated below. A.
As required by Criterion XII of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50, as implemented by Duke's Topical Report, Paragraph 17.1.12., written procedures are to require that measuring and testing equipment be calibrated for accuracy.
Contrary to the above, DPC QA Procedure 0-1 does not require that all electrical measuring and testing equipment be calibrated for accuracy.
This is a deficiency.
B.
As required by Criterion XIII of Appendix B to 10 CFR 50, as implemented by Duke's Topical Report, Paragraph 17.1.13.2 inspections are required to verify adequacy of housekeeping.
Contrary to the above, inspections have not been conducted to verify adequacy of housekeeping in work areas that contain Class IE equipment.
This is a deficiency.
