DUKE POWER COMPANY CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATION Response to Deficiency 413/414/80-12-02
" Failure to include all of the electrical mecsuring and test equipment in the applicable Duke Power Company procedure."
Deficiency As required by Criterion XII of Appendix B to 10CFR 50, as implemented by Duke's Topical Report, Paragraph 17.1.12.2, written procedures are to require that measuring and testing equipment be calibrated for accuracy.
Contrary to the above, Duke Power Company QA Procedure 0-1 does not require that all electrical measuring and testing equipment be calibrated for accuracy.
Response
Duke Power Company Quality Assurance Procedure 0-1 has been revised to include insulation testing equipment.
Procedure 0-1 will be fully implemented in the field by August 1:
1980.
