Narrative

Report for LER 50-321/1980-106. While the plant was in steady state operation at 1827 MWt, control room intake chlorine monitor,1Z42-N022A, sample fan motor was found inoperative. [ Tech Specs Section 3.12-E requires both monitors operable. Redundant man- %'s itor,1241-N022B, was operable. Public health and safety was not affected This is a repetitive event as last reported on Reportable Occurrence Report No. 50-321/1980-091. The cause of the event was attributed to the sample fan bearing drag. The The drag increased because the bearing oil lubricator wicks had dried. wicks were re-oiled and the surveillance procedure revised to oil the w:cks monthly. The surveillance was then performed satisfactorily. A generic review indicated no inherent problem with the installation. (:) s { j 74 r.- ' k %4
