NARRATIVE

REPORT Georgia Power Company Plant E.

I. I!atch Baxley, Georgia Reportable Occurrence Report No. 50-321/1980-063.

While performing normal surveillance procedure IINP-1-3102, Reactor Iligh Pressure Shutdown Cooling Mode Functional Test and Calibration, switch IB31-N018B actuated at 167 psi increasing.

The setpoint on this switch is 147.3 psig 15.

The Technical Specification limit is </=157.3 psig.

This switch is a reactor pressure permissive to operate valve lEll-F015.

The 1B31-N018A switch is a redundan't switch in a parallel circuit'with the IB31-N018B switch and worked correctly.

The corresponding switches on Unit II were checked and operated correctly. Switch IB31-N018B was recalibrated and returned to service.

The unit is now is full compliance with the requirements and no further reporting is required.

This is a non-repetitive occurrence on this switch.

This switch is a Static-O-Ring.
