Subject:
Arkansas Nuclear One-Unit 1 Docket No. 50-313 IE Inspection Report No. 50-313/77-12 (File: 0232)
Gentlemen:
p The subject inspection report identified one deviation from commitments to the NRC. Our response to the deviation is provided below:
APSL Response 1.
All Q-list motors received prior to June 15, 1977 were placed in a non-confoming status.
2.
All Q-list non-conforming motors identified that were less than 10 H.P. have been inspected and bench tested to determine conformance.
3.
All Q-list non-conforming motors identified that were greater than or equal to 10 H.P. have been disassembled and inspected in accordance with Procedure 1406.05 (Motors in Non-conforming Status), to determine conformance.
4.
All stored Q-lis? motors requiring preventative maintenance (PM) have been scheduled, as required.
Our QC Program has a mechanism built within which provides assurance that, at the time of procurement, consideration is given to the identification of required PM for equipment to be stored.
The Production Storekeeper is responsible for assuring that stored equipment receives required PM to maintain integrity.
