Dear Mr. Kruesi:
You are hereby notified of a situation which could be considered re-portable in accordance with 10 CFR Part 50.55(e)(1)(1), " Conditions of Construction Per=its".
This situation relates to the veld records for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station steam generators.
(N A recent audit of veld records conducted by Babcock & Wilcox's (nuclear
('s) steam supply system supplier, B & W) QC organization at their Barberton Works has shown that filler wire qualification test reports are incom-plete for several heats of weld filler materials used in steam generator fabrication. B & W is currently reviewing records to define the extent of the incomplete documentation.
We vill submit a written report on the documentation situation within 30 days.
