'(5) nurface cracking in the veldment of the steam generator laterni supports, .

inspection of control rod drive pressure tubes. Within these arenn, the

innpection consisted of selective exnminntions of procedures and representative

records, interviews with project personnel, and observations by the inspectors.

The inspection also included an examination of the accions you have taken

with respect to the items identified in our letter of May 4,1972. We have

no further questions concerning those items.

During this inspection, it was found that certain of your activities appeared

to be in nonconformance with AEC requirements. The item and references to the

pertinent requirements are listed in the enclosure to this letter. Please
