On January 17, 1980, you submitted a proposed change to the memberships of the Onsite Safety Committee and the Offsite Review Committee for the Beaver Valley Unit No. 1.

In our review of the proposed changes, we have cc.7;ared the membership to the Offsite Review Committee to the requirements of A'1SI 18.7-1976.

In order for us to complete our review, it is requested that you demonstrate that the qualification of the proposed membership satisfies the ANSI 18.7 requirements for competence and expertise in the ft.nction areas defined by Section 6.5.2.1 of the Beaver Valley Unit 1 Technical Specifications. As you may be aware, ANSI 18.7 allows the competence and expertise to be provided through outside consultants and organizations if r.at available within owner organizations.

Your response to this request should be su s itted within 30 days.
