MENT TO LER 80-Olk/03L-0 Pace 1 of I During normal operations, while performing Operations Surveillance Test F-ST-4C titled "HPCI Pump Operability Test (ISI)", tne torus water level exceeded the limi ts of Technical Specifications 3.7. A. I a by aporoximately 1 3 inches.

Pump down of the torus returned the level to within the limits of Tech-nical Speci ficat ions twenty (20) minutes af ter i t exceeded the maximum level.

Technical Speci fication Amendment No. 48 (issued af ter this event) allows short term level variations caused by this and similar required surveillance testing and will eliminate recurrence.

The event did not cause any signi ficant hazard to the public health and safety.

NOTE:

LER-79-068 is a related event.
