I enclose for your information a copy of a letter from the Critical Mass Energy Project to.the Commission requesting revocation of Kansas Gas &
Electric Company's construction permit for Wolf Creek Unit 1.
Specif-ically, Critical Mass Energy Project requests revocation of the construction permit until remedial action for alleged deficiencies in the quality assurance and quality control mechanisms at the site is taken.
They also request the Commission to investigate an alleged delay in reporting deficiencies in concrete strength to the Commission, and to take enforcement action in the form of suspension of the construction permit if no satisfactory explanation for the alleged delay is found.
The Commission has also received several requests '.om individuals, copies cf which are enclosed, asking the construr. tion at the Wolf Creek site be halted because of alleged deficiencies in the base mat concrete *.
Because of their similar nature, all of these requests have been consoli-dated for consideration.
They are being treated under 10 CFR 2.206 of the Commission's regulations.
Also enclosed for your information is a copy of the notice that will be filed with the Office of the Federal Register.
