The inpo:tance of excellent concrete for such a significant project cannot be overenphasized: if one sna11 volume of concrete proves to be defective, the entire plant easi]y co ld be totally inoperative and very dangerous.
Actuaily, i:ansas does not need the plant: nunerous alternative sources of e.ergy are available in sufficient quantity. At best, the dangers inherent in the 71ant cutreigh all benefits; and the costs of construction, naintenance, and dis 7ccal a e too excessive. 1:any Kansans, perhaps a najority, are opposed to the plant and prefer other sources of energy.
