Exit Interview

The inspection scope and findings were summarized on April 26, 1979

with those persons indicated in paragraph I above.

The Licensee

was advised that no new items of noncompliance or deviation were

identified by this inspector.

3.

Licensee Action on Previous Inspection Findings

(0 pen) Infraction 413/79-06-01: Failure to follow procedure for

containment dome concrete inspections. Nonconformance Item (NCI)

5252 and form M-2N's, " Final Concrete Inspection Log", documenting

the locations, sizes and corrective actions for excavations of

questionable concrete were reviewed. The inspector examined the

inside and outside surfaces of the dome, including repair work

accomplished.

Inspections and repair work were in the final stages.

The investigation report being prepared by the technical support

group was reviewed in draf t form and was discussed with involved

personnel. This item remains open pending evaluation of the licensee's

report and final corrective actions.

Independent Inspection Effort-Units 1 and 2

6.

Safety-Related Components-Review of Quality Assurance

Implementing Procedures - Unit 1

The inspector reviewed proposed revisions to QA Procedures M-9,

" Mechanical Equipment Installation Inspection", and M-18, " Inspection

of Structural Steel Erection" that would specifically include the

inspection of mechanical equipment supports as part of M-18.

The

necessity to backfit these new requirements to equipment already

installed or being installed was discussed.

Previously identified

Inspector Followup Item 413/79-03-02: Inspection requirements for

site fabricated component supports, will remain open pending review

of issued procedure revisions.

No items of noncompliance or deviations were identified.
