PROPOSAL FOR IE REVIEW 0F SELECTED NUREG-0737 ITEMS AT OPERATING PIACTORS There are selected items of NUREG-0737 for which licensees are to have design details available and no submittal of review information to NRR is required.
Included are the following:
II.E.4.1 Dedicated Hydrogen Penetrations I I. F.1.1 Noble Gas Monitor (plants without deviations)
I I. F.1.2 Iodine / Particulate Sampling (plants without deviations)
II. F.1. 3 Containment High Range Monitor (plants without deviations)
I11.D.3.3.2 Improved Inplant Iodine Instrumeritation (plants without deviations)
The guidance provided to the licensee by MRR (i.e., NUREG-0737 and 0578) is adequate for IE verification and no further NRR actions are required.
For those plants who have proposed deviations to the requirement. NRR will review each request and advise you of any requested deviations and their resolution.
We request your concurrence in this approach for the five items identified above. We will be happy to meet with you arcd discuss schedules.

We propose that OIE accept review responsibility for these items. Assistance to OIE from NRR Technical Review Dranches will be made available, as required on a case-by-case ba' sis. We would advise you of any licensee requested deviation to our osition and the resolution of any such request.
We believe the guidance provided to the licensee by NRR (i.e., NUREG-0737 and 0578) is adequate fpr OIE review.
In view of the continu/
