Parkers Duxseal is widely used throughout industry in a virtually unlimited number of applications, because of its unique characteristics. Duxseal has a heavy, putty-like consistency (thumb grade). It is compounded with a non-asbestos inert fiber and non-drying synthetic oil base.
Duxseal adheres to most clean surfaces. It is insoluble in water and unaffected by moisture, ordinary gases and condensates. It seals out dust, dirt, water, acids, air, fumes, and gases.
Duxseal is reusable. It is easily removed and reapplied whenever necessary. Both application and removal are done by hand; no heat is necessary. Duxseal has excellent shape retention - is easily formed to fit any application and holds that form.
FLAMMABILITY:
The unique formulation of Duxseal overcomes the problem of flammability in a non-hardening putty. The premium waxes and oils used in Duxseal keep it soft and pliable (even in the presence of air) and yet Duxseal does not support flame.
APPLICATION:
Originally developed for use by electric power and telephone companies to seal openings in ducts carrying conductors, Duxseal has become an indispensable item for plumbers, steamfitters, air conditioning mechanics, maintenance engineers, general mechanics and general repair persons.
VERSATILITY:
Duxseal is used by the trades to seal:
Against Gas Leakage Duxseal helps prevent gas leakage and infiltration from leaky gas mains and other underground sources, when used around cable openings at the base of fire boxes, traffic lights, street lights and similar electric utility fixtures.
Duxseal is not recommended as an electrical insulation.
Steel Window Frames Also, ventilator shafts, duct open-ings and other such applications in various types of factories and industrial buildings. Duxseal can be stuffed into place as easily as putty.

Reflector Lenses. Holds and helps to seal recessed airport floodlights and similar equipment.
Vibrating Metalwork. Dampens vibration between grill and duct work.
Duxseal also is used extensively to seal:
Cracks in brick and concrete work Potheads, bushings and terminal boxes Leaky seams in hot air and air conditioning ducts Steel piping to provide corrosion protection, where concrete slab cracks and needs reinforcing Around steel conduits where they enter an exposed junction box SHELF LIFE:
