This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. Folsom and Mr. Barker of this office on Septecher 25-27, 1972 of construction activities authorized by AEC Construction Permit Nos. CPPR-40 and CPPR-66 and to the discussions of otr findings held by Mr. Folsom with Messrs.
Avers and Stewart of your staff at the co clusion of the inspection.
Areas a - ined during th9 inspection included the Unit No. 1 verifica-tion of electrical cable routing, the Unit No. 1 ring girder repair vork, the Unit No. I reactor coolant system fire danage, and the pro-gress in resolving previously identified unresolved items. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective ocimination of p
procedures and representative records, interviews with plant per-V sonnel and observations by our inspectors.
During this inspection, it was found that certain activities appeared to be in violation of Section 50.55(e), Part 50. Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. The iten and references to the pertinent require-ments are listed in the enclosure to this letter. This notice is sent to you pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.201 of the AEC's Rules of Practice, Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Section 2.201 requires you to submit to this office within thirty (30) days of your receipt of this notice, a written statement or explanation in reply including:
(1) corrective steps which have been taken by you, and the results achieved; (2) corrective steps which vill be taken by you to avoid further violations; and (3) the date when full com-pliance vill be achieved.
