This ref ers to the inspection conducted by Mr. 3. K. McLeod and Mr. T. A. Re-belowski of this office on October 18, 19, 26 and 27, 1972, of activities authorized by AEC Construction Permit No. CPPR-40 and to the discuusions of our findings held by Mr. McLeod with Messrs. Barton and Wise of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection visits.
Areas examined during this inspection included the preoperational testing program, post erection cleaning and quality assurance. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and re-presentative records, interviews with plant personnel, and observations.by our inspectors.
In addition, our inspector examined the areas identified in our letter to you dated September 26, 1972. We have no further questions with regard to those items identified in our September 26, 1972 letter.
During this inspection, it was found that certain activities appeared to be in violation of Part 50 of the Commission's regulations. The item and references to the pertinent requirement are listed in the enclosure to this 1etter.
This notice is sen't to you pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.201 of the AEC's " Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regula-tions.
Section 2.201 requires you to submit to this office within twenty (20) days of your receipt of this notice, a written statement or explana-tion in reply including:
(1) Corrective steps which have been taken by you, and the results achieved; (2) Corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further violations; and (3) The date when full compliance will be achieved.
Should you have any questions concerning this inspection, we will be pleas-ed to discuss them with you.
