Dear Ms. Tran:

Purpose By way of this letter, the University of California, Irvine is submitting _the correct latest revision to the UC Irvine Nuclear Reactor Facility Emergency Plan, 4.2. The previous version submitted had the incorrect date and revision nuniber on the cover page and in the revision history.

Background

In accordance with the request from NRC during a phone call *on May 16, 2019 and for accuracy of the intended submission, the correct plan revision is being submitted.

Discussion The Emergency Plan for the UC Irvine facility has been revised to reflect several changes made external to the facility in the university's organizational structure. Chief among those changes are amended titles and the elimination of a position formerly in the Environmental Health and Safety group, the Deputy Director.

It is our assessment that these changes have no significant impact on the response actions to radiological events at this facility, which allows these changes to be made under 10 CFR §50.54(q) and other NRC guidance. These changes have been reviewed and approved by the UC Irvine Reactor Operations Committee. ,
