[External_Sender] RE: Request for Input Regarding Environmental Assessments (EAs) for two Clinton Submittals

Joel, IEMA will not be sending a formal letter to you. However, below is our thoughts:

The State of Illinois sees that an environmental assessment or an environmental review is not required as per 10 CFR 51.22 (b) for the proposed request as per 10 CFR 51.22 (c) (25), since the requested licensing action is an exemption from the requirements of the Commissions regulations and (1) there is no significant hazards consideration; (2) there is no significant change in the types or significant increases in the amounts of any effluents that may be released offsite; (3) there is no significant increase in individual or cumulative occupational radiation exposure, there is no significant increase in the potential for or consequences from radiological accidents; and (6) the requirements from which an exemption is sought involve scheduling requirements and other requirements of an administrative nature.

Thanks, Steve From: Wiebe, Joel <Joel.Wiebe@nrc.gov>

[External] Request for Input Regarding Environmental Assessments (EAs) for two Clinton Submittals

Steve, We are considering performing Environmental Assessments for two Clinton submittals, see attached.

Does the State of Illinois have any input regarding potential environmental impacts of these actions, if approved?
