• TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS LIMITS - SODIUM As a result of recent discussion between members of your staff and the Palisades Plant staff, I have attempted to clarify the reporting requirements of Technical Specificat~on 3.18 (see attached letter dated February*8, 1977).

It is Consumers Power's contention that secondary water chemistry para.meters need not be reported unless the specified limit is exceeded for the time limits stated in Sections 3.18.2, 3.18.3, 3.18.4, and 3.18.5.

Until this matter is resolved by the Operating Reactor Branch, we will report _chem-istry excursions that exceed Table 3.18.1 limits while at power.

Therefore two previously identified potential Event Reports are submitted.
