- Site has been dismantled and decontaminated with the exception of the reactor vessel, which is in long-term storage.
- Three Mile Island Unit 2 has been placed in a postdefueling monitored storage mode until Unit 1 permanently ceases operation, at which time both units are planned to be decommissioned.Notes: GE Bonus, Hallam, and Piqua decommissioned reactor sites are part of the DOE nuclear legacy. CVTR, Elk River, and Shippingport decommissioned reactor sites were either decommissioned before the formation of the NRC or were not licensed by the NRC.
