Dear Mr. Banovic:

On June 11, 2018 you sent correspondence in electronic mail (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession Number ML18163A181), identifying administrative errors found in the most recent license issued on November 21, 2017 (ADAMS Accession Number ML17306A942). License Amendment 9 was issued in response to your October 7, 2017 request (ADAMS Accession Number ML17290A363) to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to seek authorization for commencement of construction of a new irradiator facility, to be included in the expansion of Building 245. This amendment was part of a planned expansion to provide additional working space to carry out the U.S.

Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology mission.

The following is a summary of issues identified in your correspondence:

1) Item P was inadvertently omitted from Amendment 9. This line item was for Thorium isotopes.

2) Under a subset of radioisotopes listed under line item AA, Byproduct Material, a header for possession limits stated 1 Curie, except for the following radionuclides instead of 1 Curie each, except for the following radionuclides.

3) Under item AA, Byproduct Material, a listing for Americium-242m (Am-242m) was inadvertently listed as Am-242.

NRC staff agrees that administrative errors identified above were inadvertently dropped in Amendment 7. These items were previously reviewed and approved as stated in Enclosures 1 and 2. This correspondence is not issued as an amendment, but as a corrected copy of the current license, Amendment 9. You should ensure to replace copies of the license in your possession with those enclosed.

Documents transmitted contain Security - Related Information in Enclosure 2. When separated from enclosure 2, this letter is decontrolled.
