Dear Mr. Cowne:
On April 26, 2018, a Category 1 public meeting, conducted as a webinar, was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of Louisiana Energy Services, L.L.C. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the results of the NRCs assessment of URENCO USAs safety performance for the review period of January 1, 2016, through December 31, 2017. The meeting notice and agenda, dated April 26, 2018, are available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML18095A038.
The NRC staff provided a presentation of the evaluation of your safety performance (ADAMS Accession No. ML18117A046) as discussed in the March 2, 2018, letter (ADAMS Accession No. ML18064A074).
URENCO staff had the opportunity to respond to NRCs performance review and presented information of sites activities in each performance area: Safety Operations, Radiological Controls, Facility Support, and Safeguards (See ADAMS Accession No. ML18117A048).
Members of the public were in attendance; a list of all attendees is enclosed. There were no public meeting feedback forms received.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of ADAMS at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
