Dear Mr. Knighton:
The PVNGS Unit 2 Operating License, Attachment 1 item 4, dated April 24, 1986, states as follows:
"APS shall implement the resolution of the design adequacy of masonry walls in accordance with the commitments provided in ANPP letter 36301, dated April 18, 1986."
In response to this license condition and our letter, reference 2,
ANPP hereby submits the enclosed report providing the results of a more detailed masonry block wall analysis.
We believe this detailed analysis is acceptable since it concludes the existing PVNGS masonry block walls are structurally adequate within the allowable limits accepted by the NRC staff.
Your response to this submittal is requested by July ll, 1986.
