~0$ caused an unex ected 1 oad decrease which resul ted in reactor cold 1 ea temperature briefly exceeding the Tech Spec 3.2.5 limit of 542'F. The

. operator restored reactor temperature to normal within four minutes. The turbine control s stem was checked out and the lant was returned to normal full power operation. The maximum temperature was 542.1'F.

This is the first Tc>542'F LER due to an equipment failure.
