REPORTABLE OCCURRENCE 335-79-19 LICENSEE EVENT REPORT PAGE 2 ADDITIONAL EYENT DESCRIPTION The coil power programmer timer module was replaced after CEA >19 dropped for the fourth time within a two hour period. CEA 819 was returned to its normal position and has performed normally for 3 weeks.

Since the reactor was at zero power (Mode 2) at the time of this occur-rence, Technical Specification 3.2 was not applicable, and no power distribution limits were exceeded.

This was the second occurrence for CEA n19. Ho cause was determined for the first occurrence reported by LER 335-78-18. No other dropped CEA's have been specifically attributed to a timer module failure, however, two other occurrences were corrected by replacing components including the timer module.
