In the Reference 2 letter, the NRC requested additional information to support the Staff's review of the LSCS Applicant's Environmental Report (Appendix E to the LRA). In the Reference 3 letter (ML15195A351), Exelon Generation provided responses to each of the NRC Staff's questions in the Reference 2 letter. Partial responses were provided for Environmental Requests for Additional Information (RAIs) # AQ-04 and # GW-01 because in each case, additional time was needed to make a requested report available.

r9f5 August 27, 2015 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 The Enclosure to this letter contains the previously unavailable report requested by Environmental RAI # AQ-04 and completes the response to that RAI.In an email dated August 24, 2015 from David Drucker (NRC Environmental Project Manager)to Nancy Ranek (Exelon Generation Environmental Project Lead), regarding "Conestoga-Rovers & Associates.

May 2011 LSCS Report," NRC Staff explained that the report requested by Environmental RAI # GW-01 will not be needed. Accordingly, Exelon Generation understands that the response to Environmental RAI # GW-01 is complete without submittal of the requested report.This letter and its enclosures contain no regulatory commitments.

In its analysis, the NRC staff will consider the effects of impingement and entrainment on aquatic biota in both the Illinois River and the cooling pond. To support this analysis, please describe any impingement and entrainment studies that have been conducted on the cooling pond or in the Illinois River.c. Docket the final report of EA Engineering (2015) when available.
