- Rich,
I discussed the TS reviewers proposed revision of Note 2 to the 45-day cumulative Completion Time with Chris Wasik (ONS Regulatory Affairs Manager) and Terry Patterson (ONS Safety Assurance Manager). ONS considers the proposed revision to Note 2 editorial and therefore, find it acceptable. Attached are the revised TS markup pages and TS retyped pages incorporating the proposed revision.

- Boyd,
The TS reviewers provided some comments on the proposed TS changes (shown below).
Let me know if you are in agreement w/the suggested change to the proposed TS. We can have a conference call to discuss, as needed.
The licensee proposes using or in the proposed TS Required Action 2.2.5, Completion Time NOTE. Use of and/or (logical) connectors in TS has specific meaning and understanding so, even though the licensees proposed use of or may be grammatically correct, NOTE 2 should be modified for Note clarity and because it does not use Oconee TS convention for logical connectors
Licensee proposed 2.2.5 TS Completion Time (new) Note 2 currently states:
- 2. Not applicable during generator field pole rewind work or until 1 year after KHU declared OPERABLE following rewind work.
The licensee should consider the following:
The proposed Note 2 be revised into Note 2 and Note 3 to clarify that the (current TS) 45-day cumulative CT is:
- 2. Not applicable during generator field pole rewind work.
- 3. Not applicable until 1 year after the KHU is declared OPERABLE following generator field pole rewind work.
The above Note 2 rewording is consistent with the licensees proposed NOTE preceding the 62 DAY one-time CT and Oconee TS Section 1.2, Logical Connectors.

Retyped TS 3.8.1 pages for LAR 2012-01 ( 62 day Completion Time)
- Rich,
Attached are the retyped TS pages for TS 3.8.1 in Adobe format as you requested. The last page has no changes (but needs to be re-issued) other than some of Action D pushed over to this page due to the additional text added for the 62 day completion time.
