Revisions for Nine Mile Point Unit 1 May 2013 operating test The following revisions have been made to the Nine Mile Point Unit 1 May 2013 operating test based on NRC's comments on the draft exam and from the NRC prep week:
Scenario 1 Added an additional malfunction for a partial primary containment isolation failure.
Scenario 2 Deleted normal evolution.
Added an additional event for emergent MV AR adjustment as requested by power control.
Added an additional malfunction for the Mode Switch to fail to scram the Reactor.
Added an additional malfunction for the Bypass Opening Jack Motor to fail to open Turbine Bypass Valves.
Scenario 3 Deleted normal evolution.
Revised to allow Liquid Poison pumps to start and trip after a time delay.
Added an additional malfunction for a CRD pump trip.
Scenario 4 Deleted RBCLC pump trip malfunction.
Scenario 5 Deleted APRM malfunction.
Added an additional malfunction for Emergency Condensers to fail to operate from the Control Room.
Added an additional malfunction for an Emergency Diesel Generator to fail to automatically start.
Simulator JPM 3 Added to JPM need for candidate to install jumpers prior to performing original task.
Added to JPM need for candidate to perform additional action after performing original task.
Simulator JPM 5 Added additional alternate path based on Main Steam Line automatic isolation failure.
Added additional alternate path based on powerboard automatic transfer failure.
Plant JPM 3 Revised one step from non-critical to critical.
Admin JPM RO C002 Added use of a picture instead ofuse of the simulator to facilitate exam administration.
Admin JPM SRO EC Added SRO-only question and cue sheet regarding surveillance and Technical Specification requirements.
Admin JPM SRO EP Changed to be a post-scenario event classification instead of a stand-alone JPM.
