UPDATE - CURRENT NRC ACTIONS DURING PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNION CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS
As of 8:00 a.m., on May 29, 2012, members of the United Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 369 at Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station continue to work under an extended contract. UWUA Local 369 includes members of the Maintenance, Radiation Protection, Chemistry, and Operations organizations. The contract extension is part of a negotiated agreement that was reached between the union and Entergy, and includes a proposed package that will be provided to the union membership for a ratification vote on June 2. The contract extension is set to expire at midnight on June 5.
The information presented herein has been discussed with Entergy and is current as of May 29, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. The NRC has kept the Commonwealth of Massachusetts informed. Region I Public Affairs is prepared to respond to media inquiries.
