Acceptance review for TACs ME8135/6, Addition of Analytical Methodology TR to TS 5.6.5 and Revision to TS 2.1.1.2
- Bill, Per LIC-109, the NRC staff completed acceptance review of Carolina Power & Light Company request dated March 6, 2012, for review and approval of Addition of Analytical Methodology Topical Report to Technical Specification 5.6.5, "CORE OPERATING LIMITS REPORT (COLR)" and Revision to Technical Specification 2.1.1.2 Minimum Critical Power Ratio Safety Limit," for Brunswick Units 1 and 2. The NRC staff finds this amendment request to be acceptable for review in that the submittal reasonably appears to contain sufficient technical information, both in scope and depth, for the NRC staff to perform the detailed technical review and render, in an appropriate time frame, an assessment of the requested action.
The detailed review may result in some questions that will need to be addressed informally or formally prior to the completion of the staff's final review of the amendment request.
