REED COLLEGE - DETERMINATION OF ACCEPTABILITY AND SUFFICIENCY FOR DOCKETING AND OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE WRITTEN COMMENTS AND/OR REQUEST A HEARING AND ORDER IMPOSING PROCEDURES FOR ACCESS TO SENSTIVE UNCLASSIFIED NON-SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION RE: APPLICATION FOR RENEWAL OF FACILITY LICENSE NO. R-112 FOR THE REED RESEARCH REACTOR (TAC NO. ME1583)
Dear Mr. Frantz:
By letter dated August 29, 2007, as supplemented by letters dated January 26, 2010, July 30, 2010, October 15, 2010, and May 20, 2011, Reed College submitted an application to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for renewal of Facility License No. R-112 for the Reed Research Reactor.
Based on initial review of the application, the NRC staff determined that Reed College submitted sufficient information such that the application is acceptable for docketing in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.33 and Section 50.34. However, the NRC staffs determination does not preclude requests for additional information as the review proceeds. The Federal Register Notice has been forwarded for publication.
