NRC-2010-0304-DRAFT-0003 Comment on FR Doc # 2010-26715 Submitter Information Name: Jon Jaquin Address: 4 Mallard Lane Oswego, NY, 13126 Organization:

Nne Mile Point Security General Comment Ladies and Gentleman although unfortunate, the events at Peach Bottom seemed to be a result of accepted culture. Because of the actions of a few, my family has had to adjust to a paycut of over $12,000 this year. Any fatique on my behalf has had more to do with working a 12 hour1.388889e-4 days
0.00333 hours
1.984127e-5 weeks
4.566e-6 months
rotating shift forcing me to go back and forth between days and nights on short turnaround.

We all know how unnatural this is otherwise there would not have been computer based training instructing us on proper techniques including effective use of caffienated drinks and frequent naps on our free/family time to combat fatique. How are frequent naps as opposed to family outings or a childs athletic event a good quality of life? Since the fatigue rules have gone into effect I have heard the word "forced overtime" and seen more individuals get forced in to work on thier "pass" days more than in the previous five years while others that were willing to work the overtime were turned away.Once again, I ask is this quality of life? I think not! Either address the real cause of fatique or just go back to the old system and hold individuals accountable for poor practices.
