GL 2004-02 final response submittal date Marlayna - As a follow-up to HNPs phone conversation with the NRC technical reviewers on May 19, 2010, HNP will provide formal head loss testing results and a description of any additional modifications needed to comply with GL 2004-02 to the NRC by January 31, 2011.
The basis for this date is:
Draft of revised Head loss calc completion (10/8), Draft of revised Debris Gen. & Transport calcs completion (10/29). Afterwards is a review and comment period of three weeks and then two weeks for incorporation of comments before the final copies are issued (mid to late December).
After the above revised calcs are issued, the information in them will be used to revise NPSH evaluation calcs for the RHR and Containment Spray pumps to determine and formally document their new NPSH margin. This calc rev. will be performed by HNP.
Similar time period as Robinson proposed (approximately four months following the completion of their headloss testing).
RFO-16 support (Oct - Nov 2010) will decrease the amount of time HNP personnel will be able to dedicate to GSI-191.
Inherent schedule uncertainties due to the number and duration of activities involved in test plan development, testing, and calc revision.
