UNIVERSITY OF UTAHREQUEST FOR AN ADDITIONAL 60 DAYS TO COMPLETE THE RESPONSES TO THE NRC REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE UNIVERSITY OF UTAH LICENSE RENEWAL AND POWER UPRATE (TAC NO. ME1599)
Dear Dr. Jevremovic:
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received your letter dated April 21, 2010 (Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number:
ML101180376), requesting an additional 60 days to complete the responses to our request for additional information (RAI) described in NRC letter dated February 22, 2010 (ADAMS Accession Number: ML100360411). We have reviewed and agreed with your extension request for the following reasons: 1) it is your first request; 2) there were a large number of complex RAIs; and, 3) more notably, the University of Utah has demonstrated progress in completing the RAI responses, and maintained good communication with the license renewal project manager regarding the status of your RAI response efforts.
