UNIVERSITY OF UTAH - MISSING INFORMATION REGARDING APPLICATION FOR FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE RENEWAL AND POWER UPRATE AND APPLICATION FOR AN AMENDMENT TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (TAC NO. ME1599)
Dear Dr. Jevremovic:
The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received an application for Renewal and a Power Uprate of Facility Operating License No. R-126 dated March 25, 2005 (Agencywide Document Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML050900074),
superseded by an updated Safety Analysis Report (SAR), dated June 1, 2009 (ADAMS Accession No. ML091870540). A redacted version is publicly available in ADAMS Accession No. ML092090027. Additionally, the NRC received an application requesting an Amendment to Technical Specifications (TS), dated December 30, 2009 (ADAMS Accession No. ML100050066).
During the NRC staff preliminary review, we have identified that you are missing vital information from the initial application for Renewal of Facility Operating License R-126, the updated SAR as well as the application for an Amendment to the TS. According to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 50 Section 30(b) Oath or affirmation, states:
Each application for a standard design approval or license, including, whenever appropriate, a construction permit or early site permit, or amendment of it, and each amendment of each application must be executed in a signed original by the applicant or duly authorized officer thereof under oath or affirmation.
