Changes to OC Simulator Exam Outline After Original Submission
- 1. Scenario NRC 1
- a. Event 6: Changed the trip of Service Water Pump 1-2 to the trip of Service water Pump 1-1. The loss of SWP 1-2 included a TS entry for the SRO which is not needed for the scenario. No TS entry exists for SWP 1-1. All other actions related to the Service Water Pump trip are identical.
- 2. Scenario NRC 2
- a. Event 8: The failure of the RWCU System to automatically isolate on a high Drywell pressure condition has been moved to Event 9.
- 3. Scenario NRC 3
- a. Event 1 : The original outline stated that reactor power would be raised with control rod manipulations and changes in recirculation flow. It was never intended to change recirculation flow at this point in the scenario. The outline now states that reactor power is changed with control rod movements only. Recirculation flow is manipulated in Event 4.
- b. Event 3: The original outline stated that the CRD Pump shaft failure would occur during control rod manipulations but was listed as Event 3. This malfunction has been changed to occur as Event 2.
The stuck control rod, originally listed as Event 2, has now become Event 3.
- 4. General: There have been minor editorial changes.
