Monticello: Two Incomplete Issues in ITS Conversion Gabe, Rick:

I believe you are aware that there are 2 issues that we plan to identify as incomplete review in the ITS amendment package. As such, they will no longer be handled as part of the ITS conversion process; instead, they will now be treated as normal licensing actions. Please remind NMC personnel that for normal licensing actions, we all need to use the normal channels of communication. Specifically, this means that all communication about these two issues must be thru me and thru the normal NMC contacts.

These two issues are covered by the following TAC numbers. Note that while I characterize them as normal, we are mindful of the need to resolve these issues well before the ITS implementation target date.

MD1267 - Amendment of Section 3.3.8.1 re. Degraded Voltage Protection. Our reviewer is Vijay Goel.

MD1294 - Amendment re. LPCI Operability in Table 3.5.1. In a recent phone call with our reviewer Zena Abdullahi, we have stated that additional information will be needed to support this proposed amendment. Zena has indicated that she is amenable to a meeting with your people. We need to keep up our communication regarding this proposed meeting.
